What do you like most about living in Wiltshire?

I like the fact it's very rural and having such easy access to the countryside.

Where would you recommend for a great evening out and why?

I like to go for a meal at the Ham Tree in Holt. The management are really nice and it is a lovely countryside pub.

Who would be your ideal dining partner and why?

My hubby Steve because we've got so much in common and he has supported me through everything I've done.

Which local landmark or attraction would you recommend?

Great Chalfield Manor because it is in the area where I grew up and is so quiet and tranquil. Also Longleat because it is a wonderful place, especially with the forest, and is a fun day out for all the family.

What is your favourite book and why?

It Shouldn't Happen to a Vet, by James Herriot. All of the funny things that happen with animals are so true and I can really relate to what he talks about.

Favourite music and why?

It's varied, from heavy rock down to Celtic and Irish music. I was brought up with country and western but got into heavy metal with my husband but have mellowed out a bit since then.

If you were to start a business in the county, what would it be and why?

It would be something to do with driving horses in harness because you can go from carriage driving to log hauling and it all really interests me. I want to keep the old ways alive.

If there is one thing missing from the county what is it?

A cinema. We go to Swindon which is too far. There should be one for the youngsters.

Which annual event is a must and why?

Any agricultural show. The Bath and West Show and the Frome Show in particular because they support us at the farm.
