A SCHOOL choir is celebrating after winning a competition for the fourth year in a row.
Children from Hilperton Primary School sang Chim-Chiminey from Mary Poppins and Butterfly to win the LEA section of the Mid-Somerset Festival, held in Bath.
Teacher Linda Clark said: "They were a little nervous on the day but they were extremely proud to have won again." Just over 20 pupils aged seven-11 form the choir and practice every week.
Narrowly beaten into second place in the same category were children from The Mead Primary School, also in Hilperton. Not to be disheartened they then scooped the top prize in another section, Roundabouts, in the first year they had entered the competition.
Sandra Dixon, music specialist at the school, said: "We are thrilled. There was great excitement on the coach on the way home."
