FORMER Chippenham Town striker James Constable has revealed he plans to be on the terraces on Bank Holiday Monday to support his former team-mates in their bid to win promotion.
And the former Hardenhuish fans' favourite is backing the Bluebirds to go one better than last season and win promotion to the Conference South. Despite losing home advantage for Monday's play-off semi-final, Constable believes the Bluebirds have the quality and the character to put last season's play-off heartache behind them and take the next step up the non-league ladder.
Constable, now playing for Walsall, revealed he is desperate to be part of the unique atmosphere created by the lottery of the play-offs. He said: "I will be willing the boys on with the rest of the fans. Chippenham Town was a massive part of my life and I really hope the boys can do it this time."
