CLUBS involved in promotion and relegation battles are in action in all seven matches in Thursday night's Auto Business Solutions Ltd Chippenham Sunday League programme.

PREMIER DIVISION

It's second verses third in the Premier Division as Biddestone Social look to bounce back from their shock Knockout Cup final defeat with a victory over Westbury Rangers A. A win for either team would leave them on their own in second spot, as currently Biddestone hold that position having scored four more goals than Rangers.

Should the game finish in a draw the team to benefit would be current table toppers Corsham Centre, who would be left needing just three points from their remaining five matches to be crowned champions.

DIVISION TWO

It's crunch time in Division Two as Parsons Nose entertain Kingfisher FC. Knockout Cup winners Parsons Nose lie in second spot and Kingfisher are just below them in third place. The teams are due to meet twice in four days and whoever wins tonight will take a huge advantage into Sunday's game.

If Parsons Nose can repeat Sunday's cup performance then they should stretch their winning record to 11 games, but with everything to play for Kingfisher are certain to raise their game for both encounters. Having caused an upset in the cup, Parsons Nose know how easy it is for the form book to be turned on its head and they will approach the game not taking anything for granted as they look for a second piece of silverware this season.

DIVSION THREE

Leaders Fascia Graphics are in action when they host Blue Circle (Sunday), who beat them 6-3 in the reverse encounter.

Fascia will be out to avenge that defeat and they ought to pick up the two points on offer which would see them edge three points clear of second placed Rowde Dynamos and put them back in the driving seat to take the title after recent run of poor form had threaten to derail their push for honours.

Fourth placed AFC Calne will move up into third spot if as expected they win away at Westbury Rangers B. Calne go into the game on the back of a 10-0 victory over North Star B and will fancy their chances of claiming a few more goals to boost their goals for tally.

North Star B are also in action in their final game of the season and nothing other than a victory against another local rivals Wheatsheaf FC would see them relegated from the division.

Wheatsheaf are on a roll and have scored 13 goals in three games since they lost in the WG Parr Trophy to the Star's first eleven. With local pride at stake they are likely to hit a few more goals against a struggling Star side.

DIVSION FOUR

Southgate Inn will close the gap on leaders Plough to just one point if they can beat AFC Springfield at the Box Recreation ground. Southgate, who have netted 110 league goals to date in their first season in the league, will be more than happy to take the spoils with a 1-0 victory, just so long as they do not do what their title chasing opponents Plough did when they met Springfield earlier in the year and drop what could prove to be an important point in a 3-3 draw.

Southgate should have the experience to see them home safely, but the youngsters of Springfield will give it their best shot to try to become the first team to beat the Devizes-based outfit this season.
