STUDENTS from Wiltshire College Lackham took part in a 24-hour ploughing marathon to raise money for charity.
The 12 students, who are all in the first year of the National Diploma in Farm Mechanisation, ploughed from 9am on Wednesday in fields lining the A342, between Chippenham and Devizes.
They drove four tractors in relays and ploughed about 200 acres, hoping to raise around £1,000 for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance appeal.
Tutor John Dixon, who organised the event, said: "It is a local charity and it's nice to know it's there because you never know when any of us might need it. Without fundraising it would not be able to continue."
