What do you like most about living in Wiltshire?

Its green spaces and fields and the amount of freedom we have to walk. It's a beautiful county.

Where would you recommend for a great evening out and why?

Our favourite place is Tale of Spice 2 in Westbury. The staff are friendly, the food is excellent and we always have a good time.

Who would be your ideal dining partner and why?

Boris Johnson appeals to me. I sit on the national CHANT committee with him and he's a very amusing character. He can be very serious but then lighten the tone and he's a tremendously clever man. I'd also say Alan Rickman because I admire his versatility in acting and fancy him, basically.

Which local landmark or attraction would you recommend?

Stourhead or Heaven's Gate just for walking. I love both of them.

What is your favourite book and why?

I read all the time, at least a book a week, but if I had to choose it is probably Green Dolphin Street by Elizabeth Goudge. It's a family saga set in England and I like it because one of my main passions is keeping families together.

Favourite music and why?

Sixties music because it's all I can remember and I know all the words. My children were brought up on it and love it too.

If you were to start a new business in the county what would it be and why?

I'd set up a country cottage gardening business where people could wander round cottage gardens and swap plants.

If there is one thing missing from the county what is it?

Community hospitals and equality of health care.

Which annual event is a must and why?

Badminton or the Gatcombe Horse trials. I love horses and it gives me the opportunity to walk round in large open spaces.
