NEWS of the South West Regional Development Agency's multi-million pound investment in Warminster has been welcomed by a council's economic development chief.
The Wiltshire Times reported last week that the SWRDA paid £5.6m for land currently used by the Army Repair Base Organisation (ABRO).
Cllr Jeff Osborn, West Wiltshire District Council's planning and economic development portfolio holder, said: "There was a real danger that the departure of ABRO from its Warminster base would have a negative impact on the town as a whole. The RDA has shown its commitment to helping Warminster grow."
