VISITORS to Center Parcs this week had a sneak preview of a play due to be staged in Trowbridge later this month.
Trowbridge Players is putting on Sand Castles, a play penned by TV comedy writer Bob Larbey who was behind The Good Life and the Darling Buds of May.
Producing the spring production for the players is Virginia Havergal, who took her cast to Center Parcs, near Warminster, for the preview pictures.
She said: "It's about the eccentricities of the British on holiday, full of strong characters and hopefully a really good laugh."
William and Margaret Patterson are an elderly couple who have holidayed in the same place for years and own their own beach hut.
They await, without much enthusiasm, the annual arrival of the awful Billet family, whilst wondering also what has happened to the Woodersons, who haven't been seen for a few years.
The Billets duly arrive, but so later do some new arrivals who cause a bit of a stir among the beach hut community.
Sand Castles takes to the stage at the Arc Theatre in College Road from Wednesday April 26 until Saturday April 29.
