CONGRATULATIONS to the Barton Farm conservation volunteers in Bradford on Avon for the magnificent job they have achieved in clearing away litter, pruning the trees and overgrown shrubs, removing brambles and repairing the drystone walls at Barton Farm.
The volunteers (some of whom are obviously of pensionable age) have been hard at work for 12 months now, very often on bitterly cold winter days.
Our regular walks by the River Avon are even more delightful than before with panoramic views of our town, the river and wildlife.
A perfect place for picnics, photography, a leisurely stroll or to quietly contemplate nature in all her beauty.
Well done all of you.

- WITH the help of six people who kindly donated their time we raised nearly £329 through our collection on April 1 in Trowbridge.
The institute is a registered charity, largely dependent on donations in order to continue its research programme and we are extremely grateful for the support of the people of Trowbridge. It is a great encouragement to all the staff.

- I WOULD like to extend grateful thanks to all those who supported our Grand National draw. The proceeds will go towards supporting naval charities.
Our congratulations to all of the winners. Commiserations to those whose horses are still running!
