A WOMAN who has never modelled before is celebrating being picked as a finalist for the Miss Bath 2006 competition.
Stacey O'Loughlin, 21, of St Mary's Close, Hilperton, has never done any professional modelling.
She said: "I had some photos done and they came out really well, so I put my details up on a website to see if I had a chance of becoming a model."
Miss O'Loughlin, who works in the call centre at Vodafone, said she received an email asking her to apply and was surprised to find she had been successful. Miss O'Loughlin said: "This is the first time I have done anything like this so I'm absolutely petrified."
The competition will be held at Cadillacs, Walcot Street, Bath on May 10 and Miss O'Loughlin is now looking for a company to sponsor her through the competition.
The Miss Bath competition is a regional heat for the Miss England 2006 competition so the winner of Miss Bath will automatically go through to the national final.
