A GROUP of bikers from Wiltshire spent Sunday being Easter Bunnies to children at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
Nick's Easter Egg Run was set up by biker Nick Wynne five years ago to take Easter eggs to children in hospital. Nick died in a motorbike crash the following year but his girlfriend Teresa Peel and friends have carried on with the event in his memory.
Miss Peel, 27, of Towpath Road, Hilperton, said: "We started the event when a friend of Nick's said he did a similar thing in Manchester and its grown from there. The first year we collected 50 eggs and had about ten to 15 bikes taking part."
This year there were 76 bikes and three cars commandeered to carry almost 300 eggs and other presents to poorly children. Preparations started back in January to get permission from the hospital and start collecting the eggs and presents.
Posters were put up in pubs, including The Bear Inn and the Three Horseshoes in Bradford on Avon and the Kings Arms in Trowbridge.
