THE Second Division clash between leaders Kings Arms and second in the table Kingfisher is the top match in Sunday's matches in the Auto Business Solutions Ltd, Chippenham and District Sunday League.
It's a must win game for both teams and with Kings Arms likely to suffer a points deduction for playing an ineligible player the game is even more important, as a win for Kingfisher would move them to within touching distance of the leaders.
Having beaten White Horse FC 10-1 last weekend Parsons Nose face the same opponents this Sunday and the Horse will be happy if they can keep the score down to single figures, which may be difficult as both Steve Pegler and Mark James are on fire at the moment for the Nose.
At the basement FC Bradford entertain Chippenham United RAOB, Steeple Ashton entertain Southwick Sports in confident mood and they have every opportunity of avenging the 4-0 defeat they suffered way back in September.
Since February, Sutton Benger have shown promotion winning form, with just two defeats from 10 games. That has coincided with a return to form for star striker James Pope, who has scored 12 times, and he should add to his tally when Benger visit The Crown, Devizes, who have lost four games on the bounce.
DIVISION THREE
After a poor couple of results Fascia Graphics will be expected to return to winning ways against Pack Horse Rangers. The current leaders should move clear at the top and away from both Rowde Dynamos and Bar OC, who are both without a game.
In their past two matches Fascia have lost to Rowde and drew with Bar, results that have opened up the championship race. Fascia remain firm favourites for the title, but with Bar OC and AFC Calne among the five teams they have left to play, they know they cannot afford any more slip-ups. They will have to be on their guard as Pack Horse Rangers could spoil their party.
At the foot of the table North Star B must beat Westbury Rangers B to keep alive their hopes of evading the drop. Defeat for the Star would not see them relegated just yet, but should they win the battle to stay in the division becomes more interesting, as Westbury Rangers B would be dragged into the dogfight along with Somerford FC and Trowbridge Town Supporters' Club who are both inactive.
Having lost in the WG Parr Trophy final, Wheatsheaf will want to finish the season on a high, and with seven games to go they could climb the table to fourth spot should they win them all. They will be happy to begin with a victory over Corsham Park Rangers, who they meet for the first time this season.
DIVISION FOUR
The top three sides are all in action and all of them should pick up the points. Leaders Plough host KSM, who they hammered 10-0 only last weekend, and once again they will be looking to add to their impressive tally of 117 goals scored. With the likes of Dave Thomas and Dave Percival in their side Plough should hit the goal trail once more.
The Southgate Inn take on local rivals The Crown FC and should be guaranteed another victory as the look to stay in touch with the Plough.
Cooper-Avon ought to beat Wanderers which would mean that they will be certain of finishing in the top three, which would be a great reversal in fortunes for the side that narrowly avoided collecting the wooden spoon last season.
AFC Melksham are keen to return to action after a week's break. Their penultimate game of the campaign is against White Hart Combe, who must win if they are to take fourth spot which could see them promoted when league positions are finally sorted out for next season.
PREMIER DIVISION
Leaders Corsham Centre are without a game and second placed Biddestone Social's match with Dog and Fox Ashley has been postponed as both teams could raise only seven players for the Easter encounter.
Westbury Rangers A will want to make the most of the absence of the top two and a home clash with Maud Heath Sports gives them the chance to avenge the surprise 2-1 defeat they suffered back in October.
At the foot of the table Sherston Town host Trowbridge Harriers. A win for Harriers would almost certainly see them safe for another year in the top flight and leave Sherston dangerously close to the relegation trap door. A win for Sherston would see the sides swap places and put the pressure back on the Harriers.
Hullavington's chances of climbing to safety were given a massive boost by their victory over Sherston last weekend, but they must hope for a repeat performance and a win over Corsham Cricket Club to have any hope of pulling off a miracle escape from what seemed almost certain relegation two weeks ago.
Bradford News welcome near neighbours Winsley to their Trowbridge Road ground and, having won the reverse fixture 4-2, Winsley are tipped to complete a league double.
DIVISION ONE
Leaders Spencer Sports only need to avoid defeat against Chippenham Police to become the first side this term to be crowned champions of their division. It should be a formality for them as they look to take back-to-back titles having won Division Two last term.
A defeat for the Police would mean their Division One survival would hinge on the outcome of their final match and other results going their way.
Christian Malford complete their season at home to Holt and Malford will want to put one over their rivals, who have delayed their finish by three weeks having postponed the game that was due to be played at the end of March.
Holt need a win if they are to keep up the battle for second spot with Semington Rovers, who tackle bottom side The Horse and Groom. Rovers should prevail but they will have to guard against complacency as the Horse have stunned Holt twice in recent weeks and having snatched a win against Chippenham Sports they are showing real guts and determination to stay in the division.
Potterne finish their season away to North Bradley and all in all their have had a good campaign considering they were promoted at the last minute having finished fourth in Division Two. Potterne are currently in second spot and, although they can expect to drop a few places they should still remain in the top half of the table and maybe take fourth spot.
Atworth United have not won for 11 games and they need to arrest their abysmal run to stay clear of danger. United take on Parr Trophy winners North Star A, who may be suffering from a cup hangover. Should that be the case United may just sneak a shock win, but on paper the Star will be favourites to extend United's winless run even further.
