THERE is a busy fixture programme on Thursday night and the outcome of many of the nine matches will go a long way to deciding promotion, relegation and even championship issues.
For defending Premier Division champions Westbury Rangers A, anything other than a victory over leaders Corsham Centre will end their hopes of reclaiming the title they won last term. Should Centre win they should go onto collect the silverware later in the month.
Fresh from their success against Biddestone Social, Box Rovers should ease past Sherston Town who, with just one win in 13 games, are now in great danger of slipping of the top flight or even existence. Corsham Cricket Club host Trowbridge Harriers and the home team should pick up a win.
DIVISION ONE
WG Parr Trophy winners North Star A will end Holt's dreams of winning the Division One title should they take anything from the visitors to Priestly Grove.
DIVISION TWO
Parsons Nose will be hoping to make it nine wins on the bounce in Division Two and unless The Crown Devizes find a big improvement in their form then they could be another team to suffer a big loss at the hands of the in-form Melksham based side.
Chippenham United RAOB cannot afford to lose another game if they are to have a realistic chance of beating the drop. At home to Steeple Ashton, they have the opportunity to put two points on the board. A win for United ahead of their battle with fellow strugglers FC Bradford would set them up nicely for a possible Houdini style escape act.
DIVISION THREE
Trowbridge Town Supporters' Club will be thankful that Wheatsheaf have to visit them for a midweek showdown. With a possible 17 players to pick from the Town will want to seize the chance and beat their bitter rivals and a first win in 12 games that would lift them out of the relegation zone.
DIVISION FOUR
It's second verses third in Division Four as The Southgate Inn travel to the Conigre to face Cooper-Avon. Southgate, who haven't played for a month, could be a little rusty which will play into Cooper's hands. However, with all their experience, Southgate will not give in without a fight and they know how important a win is as they try to catch leaders Plough, who have played five games more.
AFC Pilot host White Hart Combe and with fourth place up for grabs the game looks likely to be competitive as both teams battle for the win.
