Farrington touring professional Steve Ritchie achieved his first win as a professional with a two-shot triumph in the Gloucester and Somerset PGA medal at Weston-super-Mare.
Ritchie, aged 27, who comes from Crewkerne, was a member of Yeovil and Chedington, where he still does some teaching, and played representative golf at all levels for Dorset from the age of 15 until he turned professional.
He signed for a three-under-par 67 that contained five birdies, four on the back nine when he did not drop a shot.
Andrew March, the Burnham assistant, finished runner-up with a tidy one-under-par 69. He chipped in for a birdie two on the temporary 17th hole that replaced the 14th.
Darren Read (Saltford), Barrington, who returned to play at the club where he was once the pro, and Jon Cowgill (Farrington), who made one of his rare winter playing appearances, shared third place with level par rounds of 70.
