Tehidy Park will represent Cornwall in the English Club Champions Tournament to be played at Stoke Park in September.
The favourites, pictured above, defeated St Mellion in the final of the Cornwall Team Championship in blustery conditions at Trevose, led by 2004 South West Counties champion Mike Reynard, who plays off plus two, and club secretary Ian Veale, the county champion.
Reynard and Veale started with a 6 and 5 foursomes win as the team built a 31/2 to 1/2 lead. Needing only 21/2 points from eight singles, Veale and Reynard started convincingly before John Piner clinched the winning point against Andy Nicholson.
Tehidy's last CTC win was in 1983 and, appropriately Paul Clahane, a member of that team and now president of the Cornwall Golf Union, presented the shield.
