Paul Fisher became the first person to be appointed Gloucester-shire county's president for a second term when he took over for the Union's centenary year.
The first time was in 1970 and he became the only president of the English Golf Union to come from Gloucestershire in 2004.
Mr Fisher, aged 72, pictured left, has the highest profile of any golf administrator in the county. He was captain of Minchin-hampton in 1961, is a former chairman, and is a life member of Gloucestershire whom he represented as a county player for a decade. He still plays off a handicap of eight.
He has been chairman of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club's standard scratch and handicapping committee and chairman of the championship committee.
Alan Colledge from South Gloucester-shire club The Park (formerly Tracy Park) has become vice-president.
Barrie Lake (Saltford) has become Somerset's new president.
Rick Metcalfe from Burnham and Berrow is vice president.
