The Bristol and District Golf League have a new sponsor this year, accountancy, tax and business advisers Baker Tilly.
The League, established in 1955, features 1,300 golfers from 27 clubs. The new season started on April 1 with 52 teams split into nine divisions and concludes with the finals day on September 9 at Saltford.
League match secretary Alan Shore said: "The sponsorship will allow us to offer an all round improved service to all clubs. We have upgraded the two major meetings of the year, the high and low foursomes at Mendip on May 13 and the finals day."
The clubs in the league this year are Bath, Bristol and Clifton, Long Ashton, Knowle, Shire-hampton, Henbury, The Park, Chipping Sodbury, Filton, Lansdown, Worlebury, Clevedon, Kingsdown, Weston-super-Mare, Wells, Saltford, Woodspring, Mendip, Cumberwell Park, The Kendleshire, Mendip Spring, The Bristol, Tall Pines, Thornbury, Stockwood Vale, The Players Club and Shortwood Lodge.
