A NURSERY in Chippenham celebrated its 10th anniversary with a visit from some of its first ever children.
Forest Nursery has cared for more than 545 youngsters over the last decade and survived a fire that destroyed its Forest Lane premises in March 2004.
Director Rosemary Ballard and her staff marked the anniversary with a week of events, including a party where guests were some of the nursery's first intake.
Mrs Ballard said: "It has been a tremendous 10 years and we are thrilled that some of our first children returned to help us celebrate. We are a real community at Forest Nursery. Some of my staff have been with me since the day I opened."
The anniversary celebrations are particularly special as the nursery's future was under threat following the serious fire two years ago. "It was only the fantastic support of parents, staff and the community that kept us going," said Mrs Ballard.
