Groups of young people have been given a valuable insight into improving their readiness for work.
Two Links2Work events have been held at the Neeld Hall, Chippenham and the Civic Hall, Trowbridge designed to help young people boost their confidence and job hunting skills.
Nearly 30 jobseekers met with employers and were given advice on team work, confidence building and communications skills.
The events were organised by the North and West Wilts Lifelong Learning Partnership working with Trowbridge and Chippenham teams from Connexions, which provides advice, information and support services for 13 19 year-olds.
Mike Perry, of the Lifelong Partnership said: "The programme provides an invaluable opportunity to meet local employers and find out what is expected of them when they apply for a job."
The days were managed by David Baker, of Labyrinth Training. Representatives from companies including Virgin Mobile, Leapfrog Day Nursery, Wiltshire County Council, West Wiltshire District Council, Ringway Parkman Services and Wilts Wholesale Electrical gave advice on CV writing and job interviews.
