A SUGARCRAFT exhibition at the weekend proved to be a great success.
The event, at the Civic Hall in Trowbridge on Saturday, has been hailed by the vice-chairman of the Trowbridge branch of the Sugarcraft organisation Clarice Tadd as the best we've had'.
Adults and children were invited to compete in a range of design competitions, which were judged by sugarcraft expert Eddie Spence.
Mr Spence, from Bournemouth, has decorated cakes for the Royal family. Mrs Tadd said: "He has been involved in sugarcraft all his life."
The youngest competitor was three-year-old Edward Welch, who won silver for his design in the my favourite meal' category. Sugarcraft enthusiasts came from across the UK to show off their talents.
Mrs Tadd added: "We had support from as far as Portsmouth and Carmarthen so it really was crowded." Money raised was donated to the cardiology unit at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
