A BUILDING company is donating £50 to charity for every house it sells.
Redrow, responsible for many new homes across the south west, has launched a charitable trust fund that will receive money for each property people purchase.
Called the Redrow Foundation, the trust will be particularly aimed at providing accommodation and related assistance for children in need, the elderly, and the sick and infirm.
Paul Pedley, Redrow's deputy chairman said: "We have always believed Redrow has a wider role to play in helping to provide social improvement across the communities in which we build and provide homes.
"The foundation will provide an important additional source of income, and we look forward to helping the fund grow in years to come."
Redrow builds about 5,000 new homes annually across the UK, offering everything from affordable properties for first time buyers to contemporary city centre apartments.
In the south west the company has a number of developments, including ones in Chippenham and Trowbridge.
