THE acting and singing talents of a group of young primary school pupils shone on Friday as they performed a new musical.
Children from the Margaret Stancomb School in Trowbridge were putting on a performance of Tattybogle at the United Reformed Church.
Teacher Charlotte White said: "It was fantastic. The children really rose to the challenge. They didn't forget their words and they sang their hearts out."
The production was based on Sandra Horn's book of the same name, about Tattybogle the Scarecrow, who was played by seven-year-old Vincent Nicholas. The school was piloting the as yet unpublished musical for the company Starshine Music. It is the second time the children have performed in a pilot, the first being the Wriggly Nativity put on at Christmas.
