NURSERY children have helped raise money to help people with cancer after a mum was diagnosed with the disease.
Staff and parents at the Just Learning Nursery in Trowbridge also pitched in to help raise funds for the breast unit at the Royal United Hospital in Bath by sponsoring Kim Filipiak to shave her head prior to beginning treatment in January.
Nursey manager Ros Green said: "I was overwhelmed by the reaction. The amount of support she has received has been wonderful. Kim has been really courageous and determined and never allowed her illness to get her down."
Altogether the nursery has raised £250, also holding two non-uniform days. Mrs Filipiak decided the money should go to the breast unit because she wanted to help other women to receive the level of support and treatment she was been given by staff at the unit.
She was presented with a cheque by staff at the nursery on Friday.
