IT was a bit earlier than most, but primary school youngsters in Chippenham have received some valuable career advice.
Redland Primary School held a When I Grow Up I Want To Be week to give pupils a flavour of working life. Police, fire and ambulance crews told of their experiences in the emergency services.
The school also welcomed a hairdresser, nurse and MP James Gray to the school.
The event was funded by Chippenham's Borough Lands charity, which gives money to schools in the town to allow them to hold arts, science or sports weeks.
Headteacher Hilary Walton said: "We had done lots of other weeks in the past so this time we wanted to do something a bit different. "We are trying to stress that education is important if they want to get a good job and do something they enjoy."
Children abandoned their usual schedules as lessons focused on possible careers.
