I READ with alarm bells ringing about your article about the purposed new Rugby Club ground, how planning consent is not rapidly being approved.
I can see another tragic loss for Trowbridge. I can see the Rugby Club losing their ground just like Trowbridge Town Football Club, with the promise of a new ground.
I can understand some reasons why planning as not been approved but on the long term picture I think the Rugby Club would be better off and the players more fitted if the plans were approved before houses are even allowed to be built on their present site.
That site I understand has already got planning permission. Well, the players can't play on houses can they? I think it is really disgusting when people do not realise the damage they are causing by not organising their stall properly.
The Rugby Club should have got planning permission and be in the process of building their new ground before even the slightest hint of houses being built on their present site.
They should not be in a state of affairs of not knowing if they will have even a field to play on next season or seasons to come.
