A MUSICIAN, midwife and an MP gave youngsters an insight into their professions this week.
Children at Redland Primary School, Chippenham, heard stories and could ask questions about a wide range of professions as part of the school's When I Grow Up I Want To Be week.
Chippenham's Borough Lands charity gives money to schools across the town to allow them to hold arts, science or sports weeks.
Headteacher Hilary Walton said: "This time we wanted to do something a bit different.
"The police, fire brigade and paramedics are all coming in, and we are all really excited.
"We are trying to stress that education is important if they want to get a good job and do something they enjoy."
Children abandoned their usual schedules as lessons focused on their futures and possible careers.
