A STUDENT at a Melksham school is to sign a publishing contract for one of her original songs.
Kelly Woolford, 14, who is in Year 10 at The George Ward School, has clinched a deal with London-based publishing company Afrikan Cowboy.
Undone is one of a number of new songs Kelly has written in preparation for The George Ward School's annual rock concert, which takes place this evening.
Concert organiser Mel Austin said: "I regularly send compilations of original material by current and ex-students of the school to publishers and record companies.
"The publisher Dean Hart told me he was convinced about this song when he woke up the next morning humming the tune after playing it the night before."
Kelly is very laid back about the deal.
"I shall believe it once all the contracts are signed," she said.
"It is really great to have someone from the music industry think that you have written a good song."
