VIKINGS, Victorians and Red Indians took over a school as children got inspired.
Pupils at Fitzmaurice Primary in Bradford on Avon have been immersed in dance, drama, music and literature as part of the school's Creative Week.
Headteacher Shiel Taylor said: "The whole school was involved and parents came to help. It was hard work but everyone really enjoyed it."
The children took up Viking drumming and learned more about the warrior race from historian Dinah Starkey. She also took in artefacts they could study and use to gain more insight into history.
They also got a visit from children's author Dick King-Smith. Two groups of children visited the British and Commonwealth Museum in Bristol to learn more about the Vikings and Victorians, which they have been studying for history.
All 232 youngsters had the opportunity to get creative in music, 2D and 3D artwork and clay modelling.
To round off the week they prepared a Viking feast of chicken stew and apple pie and, to keep it authentic, they were barred from eating with knives and forks.
