I WISH to say a big thank you to all the people who came to my aid when I collapsed in Frome Road, Trowbridge, on February 26.

The ambulance arrived quickly and I was well looked after by several passers-by, most of them young people. Thanks to their caring concern and prompt action I recovered quickly.

MAY I please say a big thank you to Shaw Trust Palmer Gardens. We go there regularly for coffee and always have a warm smile and a warm greeting and get the feeling you are somebody special.

In January we went there for a family get-together. There were 16 of us and they laid on a marvellous meal, nothing was too much trouble and the staff couldn't have been more happy to make sure that we all enjoyed our visit, which everybody did.

Could I please also once again say how fortunate we are to have such a well-run and friendly Tourist Information Centre in Trowbridge. We travel to several towns on visits and usually call into the TIC places and I must say as much as they are helpful, the one we have takes the credit for being one of the best we have been to.

We are so fortunate to have both places in our town.
