MORE than 300 young musicians are set to take part in this year's Music for Youth regional festival next weekend.
Singers, dancers and instrumentalists aged from seven to 20 from Wiltshire and surrounding counties will show what they are made of at the event, to be held at the John of Gaunt School in Trowbridge.
The festival is one of 60 nationwide and will include performances from 13 groups of musicians from Trowbridge, including five from the host school. Up to 300 of the best performers from around the country will be chosen to go on to perform at a national festival at the Birmingham Conservatoire in July.
Finally 30 of those groups will go on to the Music for Youth Schools Prim Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, London, in November.
