COMPANIES and their employees in Wiltshire can enter a new awards scheme launched by The Department for Work and Pensions to recognise positive action in the fight against ageism.
The Age Positive Awards 2006 seek to award employers and individuals who challenge ageist attitudes and stereotypes. Launching the Awards, Stephen Timm, Minister for Pensions Reform, said: "It's time to bring ageism to an end."
The Awards will be divided into two categories: employers and individuals.
Employers must show that they have a positive attitude to age when recruiting and training.
