On the Monday before Christmas I went around Lacock to look at the fresh snow, but I fell down and broke my ankle. I was in the RUH all over Christmas.
I must pay a huge thank you to all the nurses, also I would like to say thank you to the Friends of the RUH who, on Christmas Day at lunchtime, came around and gave each person a small card and inside was a voucher for £3 to spend in their shop. I felt very humbled with this as the couple were elderly but the fact that they gave up Christmas Day touched me. Once again a very, very big thank you as Christmas is a very special time and the fact all these people made it bearable.
