A disco run by police for youngsters in Trowbridge made a successful return to the town last week.
The Bluez ‘n’ Zuz event was held in the Snooker Club in Silver Street until that shut in November 2008, when it was put on hold.
It made its welcome return at the new Silhouette Cafe in Stone Mill on Friday.
PCSO Carole Manning said: “The Bluez ‘n’ Zuz made a very successful comeback and was attended by over 60 local youths.
“The event is non-profit making with monies put towards future events and prizes.”
Bluez ‘n’ Zuz is for youngsters aged between 12 and 16 and is supervised by local police officers, support staff and the Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service. It aims to improve community links between young people and police, reduce anti-social behaviour and provide youngsters with a safe environment to meet with friends, dance and listen to music.
The next event will take place on October 16 and after that will be held on every third Friday of the month from 7 to 9.30pm.
