I have just returned from a harrowing trip to Tesco’s supermarket in County Way, Trowbridge (Sunday, May 31 at 10.30am).
I don’t usually go to their store at busy times because it is difficult to park and even with a Blue Badge all the spaces can be taken and some cars without badges often use them.
Today whilst trying to park I noticed a lady driving though the only NO ENTRY signed roadway because she spotted a place.
At other roadways cars travel against the flow of traffic, although to be fair the signage is so bad now that it would be better if they were all painted out to “legalise” the free for all which is the norm.
Tesco’s roadway signs are the worst in Trowbridge, with old markings now showing through later changed paintovers, which make it very confusing indeed.
No one seems be in charge of the car park, but I feel that a management head may roll when someone is either killed or seriously injured due to a their current poor road markings.
Even if the car park is private land, they surely have a duty of care to their customers.
