A fire broke out in the mixing plant at the Cooper Avon Tire factory in Bath Road, Melksham, earlier this morning.
Firefighters from Trowbridge, Melksham, Bradford on Avon, Devizes and Corsham have been involved in the firefighting operation.
The blaze, which was spread over two floors of the Bath Road factory, started about 3.28am.
The chemical incident unit from Warminster and a control unit from Devizes were also drafted in.
