World famous explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes has conquered Mount Everest in support of Marie Curie Cancer Care, a year after he was forced to abandon an attempt on the mountain.
He was moved to support Marie Curie Cancer Care after he lost his mother, wife and two sisters, the latter three to cancer, all within an 18-month period.
At 65, Sir Ranulph is the oldest Briton to summit Everest, and the first explorer in history to reach the world’s highest peak and the most Northerly and Southerly points on the planet. Would you like to follow in Sir Ranulphs footsteps?
You too can have an adventure of a life time, test your physical and emotional endurance and raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care by taking part in an overseas challenge.
Marie Curie Cancer Care is looking for people with a sense of fun and adventure to take on a personal challenge and raise vital funds for terminally ill people in your community.
Choose from one of the many overseas challenges on offer, from trekking magnificent mountains such as Everest or Kilimanjaro, to biking challenges in the Andes or Vietnam, to horse riding in Mongolia or community based projects in Africa.
There is a fantastic destination and challenge to suit everyone. So, if you think you could go this far for someone with cancer, drop what your doing and call Clair on 0117 924 7275 e-mail clair.cusack@mariecurie.org.uk for more information. or to contact us.
