The firm behind the demolition work at Kingston Mill in Bradford on Avon has been sent a letter of thanks from the town council.
Councillors wrote the letter to Linden Homes, which is reponsible for the £35m development of homes, shops and offices, offering the town’s thanks for the ‘discreet’ demolition work.
The letter said: “No reports of disruptions to traffic have been received and no interruptions to the life of the town has been noticed.
“In view of the scale of the operation this is a real achievement so please pass our appreciation to your demolition company and thank you for your co-operation.”
Dates have now been set for a public showing of plans for the new £850,000 Kingston Bridge, which is being paid for by the town council and will span from the library car park to the Kingston Mill development.
The designs will be on show from May 30 to June 5 at the town library in Bridge Street and a public meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 3, at St Margaret’s Hall.
