Born: May 5, 7.23am
Weight: 6lb 14oz
Parents: Stuart and Angie Taylor of Studley Green, Trowbridge
Sydney is the first child for Stuart Taylor, 28, a bus driver for First in Bath, and Angie Taylor, 32, a teacher at Writhlington School in Radstock. The couple have been together for eight years.
Mr and Mrs Taylor eventualy chose the name Sydney after much debate.
“We hadn’t even thought about giving her a middle name, it took us long enough to decide on a first name,’ Mrs Taylor said.
Mrs Taylor had an easy pregnancy with everything running smoothly. However there were some complications during the delivery, with Mrs Taylor suffering a retained placenta.
Although she give birth to Sydney as planned at Trowbridge Birthing Centre she then had to be transferred to the RUH in Bath for treatment.
She was full of praise for the birthing centre and said: “Everything was wonderful, everyone was really calm and encouraging and especially supportive afterwards when I had to go to another hospital.”
Despite the complications Mrs Taylor is making a speedy recovery and the family are now settled in at home.
Mrs Taylor describes Sydney as a contented baby who is sleeping well and allowing her parents to catch up on some much-needed rest.
