PREMIER DIVISON: Corsham Centre A will go into their final match of the season against The Ship FC already crowned Robson Taylor, Chippenham League Premier division, champions for the 2008/09 campaign after their win over Westbury Rangers A in their Thursday night encounter.
The Centre have been pushed all the way this season by Biddestone Social and up until last weekend the Social looked as if they might just end the Centre’s top flight dominance but a 5-2 win for the Centre over the Biddy boys saw them seize control of the number one spot.
Corsham should be in a relaxed mood going into their game with the Ship and having beaten them 8-1 earlier this year they will be confident of finishing their season with another flurry of goals against their opponents who are rumoured to be pulling out of the league at the end of the season, but with the workers at the rumour mill working overtime at the moment this has neither been denied or confirmed but whatever happens the Ship who only joined the premiership at the start of the season would like to finish on a high, but would liked to have done so against lesser opposition.
