PREMIER DIVISION: If Corsham Centre A can avoid defeat at home to Westbury Rangers A this evening then Martin Bradfield’s side will be crowned Robson Taylor, Chippenham Sunday League, Premier division champions for a fourth season on the bounce.

Goals from James Cauldwell and Liam Ralph earned the Centre a 2-0 victory over their guests when the sides met at Meadow Lane back in April and since that defeat Westbury have managed just three victories in eight outings while the Centre have won all their eight games and will be out to seal the title tonight with what would be their 21st win over the season.

Westbury should give their hosts a good game but with it being their final match of what has been a very long season for Shaun Gardiner’s side they may decide to pick their places for the game out of a hat, and should they do that the Centre may have an easier than expected win to look forward too. Biddestone Arms v The Ship FC Biddestone Social should have few problems in beating Trowbridge based Ship FC for the second time in two weeks when the sides get together at Yatton Road tonight, For second placed Biddestone they will be hoping that Westbury Rangers can cause a shock in their match against leaders Corsham Centre that would leave the door open for Biddestone especially if they can land another massive goal tally as they did in their 18-1 victory earlier this month.

Jamie Lyons scored 11 for Biddestone in their previous win and if Lyons can score five goals in the return match it would see him pip Winsley’s Mike Little to the honour of becoming the top flights leading marksman.

The match should be another one sided contest but although Biddestone are predicted to win the margin of victory won’t be as high.
