Pupils at a village primary school are devastated after callous thieves stole their laptop.
Sutton Veny Primary School, in High Street, was burgled between 8.30pm on April 30 and 8.30am on May 1.
The offenders got into the building through a window and stole a Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop worth around £500. which has a blue lid and was used by the foundation stage children at the school.
Christine Folker, headteacher at the school, which has been in the village since 1850, said: “We had a training day on the Friday and when we came in we noticed a chair lying on the ground, which we thought was a bit odd. Then we saw the laptop was missing and the window had been broken.
“We were here until about 9pm on the Thursday evening but they could have broken in while we were in the other side of the building.
“The children are devastated. They can’t believe that’s the way people behave.”
