People with working, living or family ties with Broughton Gifford are being given the chance to claim residence at one of nine new affordable homes in the area.
The homes are being built by Selwood Housing and will consist of five two-bedroom homes, two three bedroom homes and two two-bedroom apartments and are scheduled to be completed by the end of next month.
Barry Hughes, chief executive of Selwood Housing said: "We would like to hear from anyone with ties to Broughton Gifford who would like to live in one of these homes.
"We know that house prices in Broughton Gifford are unaffordable for many local people, and we would like to help strengthen and maintain the local community by giving local people the chance to stay in Broughton Gifford in affordable homes.”
Gus Gurney, Chair of Broughton Gifford Parish Council added: “The houses have been a very long time coming and so worth the wait - don't they look fantastic.
“These homes will be very beneficial to our village because they will help keep nine groups of people in Broughton Gifford who otherwise might not be able to stay.
“This has been a wonderful project to work on with Selwood Housing. We’re looking forward to next month when people can start moving in.”
People with ties to Broughton Gifford are being invited to bid on a home by visiting www.homes4wiltshire.co.uk or contacting Siobhan Holden at Selwood Housing on 01225 715715.
