Toddlers in Bradford on Avon took part in a sponsored waddle to help raise money for the Meningitis Trust.
About 60 youngsters, aged between one and three years old, from the Woodland Tots Toddler Group raised £60 through a toddle waddle at St Margaret’s Hall on Wednesday, May 6.
Susannah Binney, waddle organiser and secretary of the tots group which is based at St Margaret’s Hall, said was inspired to organise a toddle waddle and raise awareness of meningitis, as it is is a disease that kills more children under the age of five in the UK than any other infectious disease.
“I really wanted to do something which would help make a difference and raise awareness, as well as money – a Toddle Waddle is the perfect way to do both.
“The children all had to pay 50p to have their faces painted and then they all did laps around the chairs.
“They kept going for a good 10 to 15 minutes. It was chaotic but really food fun - everybody was laughing.”
Toddle Waddle is one of the Meningitis Trust’s annual fundraising events, which has raised over £2.3m to date.
