Youngsters spent the morning at Corsham Court as part of their plant-themed lessons at Corsham Regis Primary School.
The 41 four-six-year-olds were accompanied by teacher Helen Dean and governor Chris Waltho who is also the Corsham Estate manager.
The children explored the plants and trees in the estate, put their numeracy and literacy skills to the test as part of the curriculum.
Mr Waltho said: “The children had a fantastic day looking at all of the different plants and flowers and then looking at the secret garden, which they loved.”
Miss Dean added: “The pupils loved the outdoor learning and although they were there to look at plants and they loved the peacocks.”
