Organisers of a two-day model railway show near Melksham will be laying on a shuttle bus for the first day of the exhibition due to a limted rail service to the town.
The shuttle buses will run from Chippenham, which is on the mainline London Paddington to Bristol line, to the Trainwest Model Railway Exhibition at the Christie Miller Sports Centre in Bowerhill leaving on the hour, every hour, from 10am until 2pm on Saturday, May 16.
The bus will then return to Chippenham arriving every half-an-hour from 2.30pm until 5.30pm.
Exhibition manger Geoff Endacott said: “Someone rang to ask for directions to the show from Melksham station.
“I had to explain that there was no point in catching the train to Melksham.
“The first service from Chippenham leaves at 4.18pm and gets to Melksham at 4.27pm, little more than half an hour before the exhibition closes.”
The annual model railway exhibition will feature more than 30 model railway layouts.
