Three men have been released on police bail after being arrested in connection with a gun incident at a convenience store near Trowbridge on Sunday evening.
Police were called following a disturbance at the Staverton Convenience Store on Staverton Marina at about 10pm, in which an airgun was pulled on a 34-year-old resident inside the shop.
The airgun was retrieved by the resident and the gunman fled the scene.
Police later arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of attempted robbery as well as two other men, aged 17 and 23. All have been questioned and released on police bail.
PC Andy Henson, who is investigating the incident, said: "This is an unusual incident in Trowbridge and I would like to appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact us.
"We have spoken to a number of witnesses but believe that there are still members of the public that may have key information and haven't yet come forward."
