Police have made an arrest following a gun incident at a shop in Staverton Marina near Trowbridge last night.
The incident happened at about 10pm at the Staverton Convenience Stores, when two men barged their way into the shop and one of them pulled a gun on a resident, who was in the store at the time.
The 34-year-old resident grabbed the barrel of the gun, thought to be an air pistol, and pinned the gunman to the ground before a violent struggle broke out.
It is thought the two would-be raiders then fled the scene.
Police have confirmed that one person has been arrested in connection with the incident and is awaiting interview, while they are still looking for a second person.
