A businessman from Melksham is to raise money for a hospital that cared for his teenage son when he was a baby.
Carpet and upholstery cleaning firm owner Jonathan Mitchelmore, 41, of Church Walk, is hoping his idea of a prize raffle will raise money for the Bristol Children’s Hospital, where his 15-year-old son Joel was once treated for acute colic.
Mr Mitchelmore, who owns and runs Hydroklenz, plans to sell raffle tickets for £1, with the winner receiving a free carpet cleaning makeover worth around £160 for a four-bedroom home.
He said: “I think at this moment in time with the country in the mess it is at the moment, this prize could lift a few spirits.
“I would ideally like a family that is struggling a bit to win it.”
Mr Mitchelmore has been fundraising for various children’s causes over the years.
