Why did you move to Wiltshire or why have you never moved away?
My parents wanted me to go to a grammar school and Bath was part of the comprehensive school system. I decided to move back and start a family here simply because I love Bradford on Avon as it is just a lovely environment, small and personal.
You are king of Wiltshire for the day. What would be the first law you’d change or introduce?
I’d ban all lorries from going through Bradford. It would properly enforced as that is supposed to happen now.
What is the best Wiltshire view?
Iford Valley near Westwood. The view of the River Frome, manor house and hillside and woodland is idyllic.
When you have visitors from out of the county, where do you take them?
It depends on their age, the younger generation I’d take around the local pubs and the older lot I’d take to The Courts in Holt, a sublime, energising and calming set of gardens.
What’s your favourite restaurant? Why?
The Thai Barn in Bradford’s food is amazing and the atmosphere is great.
What is your favourite pub? Why?
I don’t really get out to the pubs as much as I’d like, but I do like the Dog & Fox in Ashley as it has good ales and a great atmosphere.
What is your favourite shop? Why?
George Stone Mace convenience store on the Winsley Road as it provides everything and at all hours.
Which local sports team do you follow?
I don’t. I loathe all sport and have absolutely no interest in any kind of sport whatsoever.
What do you do for fun?
I like to go for walks, also spending time with my son playing Lego Star Wars on the PlayStation and building real Lego.
Describe your house and garden. What do you love about them?
An ordinary three-bed semi on a 1960s estate but it’s home and there is plenty of room to be outdoors.
