Chairman Rodney Cundict welcomed members to our April meeting and then introduced our speaker Monica Blake from Wiltshire Wildlife, her topic being Plants of the Mediterranean. There was a wonderful selection of slides of flowers, butterflies and moths taken in various locations, Crete, Majorca, Menorca. The wild orchids were stunning, the hot dry climate suited them very well with February, March and April being the best months for the wild flowers.
Monica judged our table competition, Spring Colour from the Garden. Results: Marjorie Hancock 7, Jenny Maggs 8, Maureen Cundict 9.
